Telescope's blog
Wanted to write a quick note saying thanks to everyone who made it out to Audrey Auditorium to see us play with Switchfoot. The Switchfoot guys have to be the nicest band we've met...seriously, they treated everyone so well and set the tone for a great show!
Our New Album:
We've been hard at work over the past few months writing new material for the up-coming album and we are stoked to see what you all think when it's done! The four of us are absolutely sure it's going to be far and away the best Telescope work to date!!!
Telescope just brought in the new year with a bang at Highlands club in Hollywood! We played a short set (3 songs), slammed it home quick, then kicked it VIP style upstairs for a bit with friends. The wine and spirits flowed and soon the countdown came. 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (tons o' cheers and hugs) We danced most of the rest of the night away and had just a generally amazing time! Thank you so much to Jay, Vincent, Runway Magazine, Aziz, family and friends, the staff at Highlands and all our fans who keep supporting and keep our motors hummin!
As you may have heard, Telescope was added to the playlist and rotation at the Edge 103.9 FM. This led to an amazing show on Thursday night at the Third Thursday Block Party in Scottsdale. (If anyone has pix from that night please post them here or on Facebook, we'd love to see them.)
So then, to top off an incredible couple of weeks: We found out on Friday that the industry leading A&R site, Crazed Hits, featured Telescope this week as its, A&R pick. Dig deeper on the link below and you'll see why we're so excited!

Hey Everyone! I know, I know, it's been a while since we've kicked down the info on what's been going on with us these days and I'm sure it's just eating you all up inside not knowing (: So let's see... Among some great shows over the past few months, including Tempe Music Fest, we launched a nationwide specialty radio campaign, which we charted at #24 with the single "I'll Drive Tonight"!!! Not too freakin' shabby for a totally indie band from AZ, right?
Flashback about one year ago. If you were hanging out on Mill Avenue, or anywhere near the Tempe Music Festival, you probably saw one, if not all four of us at some point during the two days. Chances are good that you may have even gotten one of the 5000 Cd's we were doling out to everyone and their mom! Some of you probably thought we were a little nuts for giving our music away free, or maybe even felt the slightest bit sorry for a local band going to such lengths to get their music "out there". Well, lets just say Telescope does what Telescope has to do to get our music to the people.
Check out Telescope in AZ Teen Magazine. An article from December.
They had some very nice things to say about the band.

stormy weather, how was i to guess, how was i to guess?
dust and feathers but i am not impressed, i am not impressed.
you came thru and pushed me down and turned around in circles.
you came thru and fooled me once, you fooled me once.
stormy weather, how was i to guess, how was i to guess?
dust and feathers but i am not impressed, i'm not impressed.
you came thru and put me on the fence and stole my confidence.
you came thru and then turned around, you turned around.
jealousy mistrust, what's become of us, what's become of us?
It's been far too long I know. But it's time to start getting the lyrics out there. I plan to blog one song at a time over the next few weeks but I want to ask one thing from you: if you find that the lyrics to a song are different than what you thought, please tell us what you were singing in your head. It'll be fun!
The first song I want to get out there is "Shine On Me" 'cause I've been thinking about the lyrics lately. Here it is. -seth
Shine On Me
